Decent Product For The Money (With One Drawback)

I have a bathtub from 1947. The original daisy-style overflow plate wore out. This Danco replacement plate is NOWHERE NEAR the outstanding quality of the original. But it is the best that can be bought new for less than $10. And it looks and works fine. Unfortunately, the included screw is the right length but the wrong thickness (too wide) for my tub's plumbing hardware. So, I had to re-use the existing screw which does not have a head loop for a chain and stopper. It would've been nice if the Danco replacement screw had fit. My tub's existing overflow bracket holds both the plumbing and the overflow plate. The included Danco plate bracket which fits the Danco screw is not capable of doing this. It would've been neat to put the bathtub stopper on a chain. The fact that I can't without great and unnecessary modification is my only disappointment. I suspect this has more to do with the age of my tub than the applicability of this product.

This cover was easier to replace than I expected. It makes things look a bit better than the old one

Not a great replacement!

It looked like it would fit my 1928 refinished tub. Problem... the screw to hold it in place is way to short! The drain itself is very flimsy compared to the original. I probably will use it but ....I will have to use the original screw. Would not recommend this product.

This is just a cover. It is flimsy & not designed to actually hold drain pipe. However it looks vintage

Plastic used to protect finish was basically glued to the metal. Had to use goo gone to get it off.

Chain too short!

The chain was about 1 inch too short to reach from tub faucet where chain is normally attached to allow item to fit into drain. Does not look like it will be easy to attach a longer chain.

looks great on my clawfoot tub

good quality fit perfect on my antique clawfoot tub and is the correct style for that era of tub nice it comes with stopper chain which you can find at any home club stores .
